DLSU Green Archers win over UE in a decisive victory

The FilOil Arena in San Juan last sunday was the stage where once again the Green Archers prove that they can hold their own even with the loss of a few key players from last season. This time, it was by a decisive win over the UE Red Warriors.

It was smooth sailing from the first half. There were solid runs from UE to try and catch up especially Alvin Pasaol’s effort in the last minutes of the 4th but DLSU’s 20 point lead proved too far to chase. The points off the bench was a key factor in this victory as well, as they scored 34 out of DLSU’s 82–proving that we have more than enough talent in our bench.

Baltazar and Leonard “Santi” Santillan crashed the boards with game high 17 and 7 rebounds respectively. Former Rookie of the Year Aljun Melecio hits his season average as he leads the team in scoring along with key player Justine Baltazar with 16 points.

The DLSU Green Archers will face-off against the UP Fighting Maroons next this September 29, 4 PM at the MOA Arena.
