Saranggola 2021: Matayog ang Lipad, Matayog ang Pangarap
In a world that is constantly threatened by issues and dilemmas, children give us reasons to hope, dream, and celebrate each day. While the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly challenged and disrupted our systems, children have also been affected in several ways. Additionally, the lack of strong representations in today’s society hinders the promotion of safe and inclusive communities. The media’s strong influence over the younger generation is also crucial as it can either empower or discourage the youth with misguided values. As members of Archers for UNICEF who have been advocating for the rights and welfare of children and women, we are responsible in helping shape a kinder and better future for the children of today and tomorrow.
This 11th of December from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, Archers for UNICEF presents its culminating event for Children’s Month entitled, Saranggola 2021: Matayog ang Lipad, Matayog ang Pangarap. This one-day event consists of short and empowering talks from speakers of different fields, a basic Filipino sign language workshop, and features performances from local artists. This event will be in partnership with DLSU’s organizations and student government units, as well as external organizations.
Unleash your inner child with us! Let’s learn together and help in creating safe spaces online and offline for the children and the youth.
