AJA In Sync Post-Event
Last Friday, August 20, AJA Animo held “AJA In Sync,” a special online concert that aimed to unify and celebrate the beauty of Filipino and Korean culture through song and dance. Aside from showcasing student-performed OPM and K-Pop songs, the concert also held games and prizes to top off an exciting afternoon.
AJA In Sync began with its hosts raising the similarities in terms of Filipino and Korean cultures, which raised the audience’s interest in the performances that were to come. The event featured three sets of performers, which included the likes of Bea Muñoz, Mica Videz, Ana Beatriz Guisadio, the La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company, and AJA’s very own Talent Camp Trainees.
The performances that were held truly reiterated the event’s theme of the unification of Filipino and Korean culture, as artists such as Bea Muñoz and Mica Videz performed renditions of popular songs by TWICE, BTOB, and Ailee. On the other hand, the La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company took the virtual stage with a dance number entitled, “Pangalay Pangasik.” Ana Beatriz Guisado, meanwhile, took it one step further and performed a fusion of one KPOP song and one OPM song. Lastly, the AJA Talent Camp Trainees, which were divided into two groups, concluded the event with “Sariling Atin” and “Bridging Cultures;” two dance performances that both promoted the relationship between Korean and Filipino culture. In between each set of performances, the hosts also held games that gave away prizes to the lively audience in attendance.
