‘Nay ‘Tay Gusto Kong Tinapay: Tulong Kay Manong Post-Event

Last Sunday, October 4, 2020, ‘Nay ‘Tay Gusto Kong Tinapay’s first project, Tulong Kay Manong accomplished a beyond the horizon results in their aim to aid Jeepney drivers amidst the pandemic.

Together with Tulong Kabataan, NTGKT was able to distribute donations to its beneficiaries, EBODA and SANTABAK which comprised 109 Jeepney drivers. The event was able to prosper Php 201,197 of donations which were broken down to relief goods, hygiene kits and other basic necessities. With the success of the project, they were also able to cater to 91 individuals mainly tricycle drivers, street vendors and other drivers in the same community that were exclusive from their initial goal.

This event among others is only one of the ways we are able to provide assistance to our fellow Filipinos who are in dire need especially during this ongoing pandemic. Many Filipinos are facing hardships that are brought about by the extending quarantine some of which includes issues on the inability to afford online classes and online tools, widespread unemployment and as well as the goal of this event, for Jeepney drivers who are experiencing troubles with expenses due to the lockdown.

It is undeniable how the smallest and largest of donations were able to amount into such grave support from various Filipinos. Indeed the essence of bayanihan continues to reign in our blood.
