Last February 13, ROOTS Music Festival held its eighth installment at the annual UP Fair. Organized by the UP Economics Society in partnership with the UP Underground Music Community, the night was filled with amazing music, delicious and affordable food, and unforgettable experiences with friends and loved ones.
This year, ROOTS was all about bringing back the music of the past with this year’s theme of rekindling the love for the arts and strengthening the appeal of Filipino music. The crowd was serenaded with performances by Rico Blanco, Andrew E., Orange and Lemons, Johnoy Danao, Moonstar88, 6cyclemind, Pedicab, Munimuni, Never the Strangers, Shirebound & Busking, and many more great local artists, both old and new. Aside from the amazing music, ROOTS was also full of different activities, games, food, and rides which made the event even more exciting.
The proceeds of the event will go to the Economics Society Scholarship Fund or ESSE and its beneficiaries.
Fellas, be sure not to miss out next year!
