From March 15 to 19, The DLSU Office of Counseling and Career Services, in partnership with several local and multinational companies, successfully hosted YUGTO: Reach for New Horizons. YUGTO was a weeklong virtual job expo that provided Lasallians with internship and employment opportunities by bringing companies to the university for recruitment.

Through the new Zoom function, students were able to visit their desired company with the provided Zoom Meeting link, and self-select a Zoom Breakout Room, if applicable. The event also featured company talks, which were held in order to introduce Lasallians to different industries and emphasize the importance of career planning.

The schedule of company talks are as follows:

Tuesday: Fast Retailing Philippines, Inc.

Wednesday: Unilab, Inc., Macquarie Group Services (Philippines), Inc., Accenture Inc.

Thursday: JPMorgan Chase & Co., Academy Gakuin Limited Company, China Banking Corporation

Friday: Lazada E-Services Philippines, Inc., ING Business Shared Services, MSCI

The virtual job expo proved to be a massive benefit to Lasallians seeking to take the next step in furthering their development within their respective fields. In addition to providing Lasallians with job and internship opportunities, YUGTO’s inclusion of company talks only widened their opportunities by informing them of proper career planning, as well as introducing them to industries that could properly suit their skillset.
